The Russian committee of the registration of world records recognized that the residential project “Triumph Palace” as the highest habitable building in Europe. After the installation of spire the overall height of building was 264,1 m. The new record was fixed by the representatives of the Guinness Book of Records on 20 December, 2003. "We attempted to build the best house", said the deputy of the general director of company "Don- system" Vladislav Ivanov, "but once it was proven to be the tallest, this is doubly pleasant."

The emplacement of spire was a most complex technological process, which consists of several stages. First test models of the spire were carried out in the wind tunnel. Then the 48,3 m pivotal metal body was constructed in pieces after which the newly dismantled construction was sent for the hot galvanizing. In order to safeguard the spire from corrosion at a high altitude, the multi layer system was used to protect all 3000 pieces. The total weight of spire is 52 tons.

The base of spire was mounted at the height more than 200 meter with the aid of the crane. The primary construction, which consists of 8 sections, was assembled in parts in the Khodynka field. After the revetment of the body by steel sheets, the spire was delivered in several stages from the Khodynka field to the Triumph Palace by two helicopters, an mi-8-MTV-y (load capacity of 5 tons) and Mi-k (load capacity of 8,5 tons).

The dynamic oscillation suppressor, intended for the protection from the wind loads at a high altitude, is the important element of the construction of the spire. It consists of four parts with an overall mass about eight tons.

The kind of power mothers have is enormous. Take the skyline of Istanbul - enormous breasts, pathetic little willies, a final revenge on Islam. I was so scared I had to crouch in the bottom of the boat when I saw it. - Angela Carter
